Structure and contents
The “AI & Education” Micro Degree consists of a combination of compulsory and elective modules. The elective modules offer the opportunity to specialise in specific AI-supported methods according to individual interests.
How does it work?
Different scopes tailored to individual needs
Learners bring different prior knowledge, interests and goals. To meet these diverse starting points, we offer flexible scopes. These make it possible to explore content in a targeted way, set individual areas of focus and learn at one’s own pace. This applies both to the introductory phase and to further specialisation and the practical transfer to professional work and research.
The scopes can be completed at different levels (ECTS equivalents):
Core (10 ECTS)
Perfect for those starting out, with a combination of foundational courses to begin your AI journey
Basic (15 ECTS)
Builds on foundational knowledge and offers additional specialisations for a deeper understanding
Standard (20 ECTS)
Offers a well-balanced mix of foundational, specialised and application-oriented courses to deepen your expertise
Advanced (25 ECTS)
Designed for those who aim for comprehensive knowledge with extensive specialisation
The following show the minimum course combinations required for each scope.
Core Scope
You can combine one Micro Credential from the foundation courses with one from the application courses.
Basic Scope
You can choose one of the following combinations:
- Two Micro Credentials from the foundation courses and one from the application courses.
- One Micro Credential from the foundation courses, one from the specialisation courses and one from the application courses.
- One Micro Credential from the foundation courses and two from the application courses.
Standard Scope
You can choose one of the following combinations:
- Two Micro Credentials from the foundation courses, one from the specialisation courses and one from the application courses.
- One Micro Credential from the foundation courses, two from the specialisation courses and one from the application courses.
- One Micro Credential from the foundation courses, one from the specialisation courses and two from the application courses.
Advanced Scope
You can choose one of the following combinations:
- Two Micro Credentials from the foundation courses, two from the specialisation courses and one from the application courses.
- One Micro Credential from the foundation courses, three from the specialisation courses and one from the application courses.
- One Micro Credential from the foundation courses, two from the specialisation courses and two from the application courses.
